Dr. Greer is a Registered Psychologist with practice in Neuropsychology in British Columbia (CPBC #2173), and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist in the UK (PYL #28696). She has specialized training in clinical neuropsychology and received a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oxford. Dr. Greer completed a one-year residency in Brain Injury and Neurology at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in the United Kingdom, and currently works part time as a neuropsychologist for Vancouver Coastal Health. She also teaches Neuropsychology and Psychopathology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
Dr. Greer’s practice focuses on neuropsychological assessment for individuals who have suffered concussions, strokes, or other brain injuries, as well for patients diagnosed with other neurological disorders. She has conducted neuropsychological assessments in a variety of health service settings, including Concussion/Mild Traumatic Brain Injury, Inpatient Brain Injury for the moderate to severe injuries, Neurology, Stroke Rehabilitation, and specialist Dementia Services.
In her clinical work, Dr. Greer is committed to best practice standards and has received specialist training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) from the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre, a widely recognized centre of excellence in CBT training and research. She believes strongly in patient-centred, collaborative formulations, treatment plans and neuropsychological assessments that are founded on practice-based evidence. Dr. Greer has also received training in and attended specialist workshops on Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, which research suggests can be particularly helpful for recurrent depression and coping with chronic pain, as well as other types of anxiety and mood-related difficulties.
