EXPERT: Vocational Rehabilitation


Since 2001 Mark Bhopal has been working in private practice, offering a broad range of vocational rehabilitation services to individuals living with a variety of disabling conditions in British Columbia. He provides vocational assessments for both medicolegal and rehabilitation purposes.

Mr. Bhopal has extensive experience and expertise in vocational rehabilitation. He served a four-year term on the Board of Directors for the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (BC Society). He was instrumental in coordinating professional development workshops and conferences. He is a Registered Vocational Professional (RVP), a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP), a Return-to-Work Disability Manager (RTWDM), a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP), a Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator (CCVE), an International Certified Vocational Evaluator (ICVE), as well as a Certified Job Club Leader (JCLT). He is a member in good standing of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRAC), the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals, the Vocational Evaluation and Career Assessment Professionals (VECAP), and the Canadian Assessment, Vocational Evaluation & Work Adjustment Society (CAVEWAS). Mr. Bhopal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies from University of Calgary and has completed additional post-graduate studies in Vocational Assessments. This training has given him the expertise necessary to successfully select, administer and interpret a wide variety of vocational psychometric instruments. Mr. Bhopal also possesses diplomas in Microcomputers and Criminology.

Mr. Bhopal has been accepted as an Expert Witness in Vocational Rehabilitation in the
Supreme Court of British Columbia.
