Dr. Amir Sepehry has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s degree in Counselling from Yorkville University. He is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, with considerable research and clinical experience in dementia. Dr. Sepehry completed a supervised practicum at Moving Forward Family Services. He was exposed to multiple types of conditions and cultures, and practiced an empathic client-centred Rogerian approach with evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, he has used mindfulness-based techniques and Adlerian lenses with adult clients. He has numerous publications in neuroscience and neuropsychology and an understanding of psychopharmacology. Dr. Sepehry is interested in neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, depression, sleep hygiene and chronic pain issues.
